It had been the worst day.
Everything that could go wrong went wrong, and just when you thought it couldn't get any worse, it did.
The final straw came as night had fallen and I had a screaming argument with my partner. i couldn't take it anymore and fled the house. At least, it was quiet now ... but then, as I looked up, the most beautiful shooting star streaked across the sky.
It was crazy, in a split second, i was no longer boiling inside, and I heard myself thinking, "Everything is possible."
I was so astonished, so grateful, completely calm inside, more than calm, happy. I said a heartfelt THANK YOU to the shooting star, to the night, yes, to God.
I went back into the house and took my partner in my arms, held them close. They were astonished too but the night of the worst day turned out to be a real starry night after all.
