We Are The Same! A Star Story

In a world that is too often hyper focused our differences — cultural, religious, or otherwise — it's the moments of profound similarity that can truly transform us. For Brenda, a GoE Modern Energy Trainer based in Canada, one such moment came during a simple energy tapping session, revealing that beneath the surface, we're all navigating the same human experiences. This Star Event — a powerful, positive memory that sparks joy and insight—unfolded with an unexpected client from a Hutterite colony, reminding us of our shared humanity.

Hutterites are a religious group living in communal colonies across parts of Canada and the United States, much like the Amish. Rooted in German heritage, they maintain a traditional lifestyle, often isolated from mainstream society, with strict adherence to their faith and customs. Women typically wear scarves and long skirts, and stepping outside the colony for something as unconventional as energy work is rare. So when Brenda received a call from a Hutterite woman's daughter, suggesting her mother try modern energy tapping—a technique focused on releasing emotional blocks through gentle touch and intention—she was "gobsmacked."

The daughter had some experience with traditional tapping methods and believed it could help her mom. Despite the cultural barriers, the woman, about Brenda's age, agreed to a session at Brenda's home. As they worked through the process, something clicked.

"It does not matter if you wear a scarf and a long skirt," Brenda recalls. "We're all women in this case. We're all the same. It's the same no matter what." The realization hit her like a wave, giving her goosebumps. For her entire life, she had viewed Hutterites as profoundly different — distant figures in a separate world. But in that moment, the veil lifted: "Oh, how much the same we are. Unbelievable."

The issues they tapped on weren't exotic or unfamiliar. They were the everyday struggles that plague us all: tensions with coworkers, challenges in relationships, the weight of daily responsibilities — like processing "thirty-five bushels of peas at a time" in a communal setting.

The situations might vary, but the underlying emotions — stress, frustration, longing—were universal. And crucially, the Hutterite woman recognized that this energy work wasn't a competing religion or some "far-out thing." As deeply religious people, Hutterites are extremely cautious about external influences, yet they understood it as a practical, energy based tool. This acceptance was no small feat; any activity outside the colony requires approval from the elder, the "big boss." Not only was the session greenlit, but the colony even covered the cost, and the woman is returning for more.

This breakthrough echoes a core principle of modern energy work: it's structural, applicable to every Homo sapiens on the planet. It doesn't matter where you were born, your education, appearance, or life experiences — the human energy system operates the same way. As one participant in the discussion noted, "This is so much closer to a science than it is to a religion."

Brenda's story parallels another powerful example: Sister Margarita, a devout Catholic nun who integrated Modern Energy work (specifically EMO, or Energy in Motion) into her daily prayers and meditations. Despite her extreme religiosity—where anything hinting at the "devil" would have been absolutely rejected — she found it beautifully transformative, stating, "This has transformed my spiritual practice, really brought the Holy Spirit to life in a whole new way." Her superiors even funded her trainer's training so she could teach others about the simple principles of Modern Energy, underscoring its non-religious, universal appeal.

For Brenda, the ripple effects are exciting. The woman understood how many of her sisters in the colony could benefit, and Brenda suggested she learn the techniques herself to help others. Could this spark a reputation for Brenda as "the lady you go to when you need help" within the colony? Time will tell, but the potential for bridging worlds is thrilling. "I can't tell you what a rush this was, or how excited I am," Brenda says, her enthusiasm palpable.

In the end, stories like this remind us that our perceived differences often mask deeper connections. Whether in a Hutterite colony, a bustling city, a refugee camp, a corporate training or a quiet convent, we're all dealing with the same emotional currents. By tapping into that shared energy — literally and figuratively—we can foster understanding, healing, and unity.
